1. Student Innovation Outreach Programme (SIOP)
The program is designed to develop an entrepreneurial mindset in under & postgraduate students and faculty members to undertake innovative research for value-added product development through various BIRAC's funding schemes including EYUVA. It not only allows students to understand the scope and opportunities in the Indian bioeconomy but also exchange ideas for emerging biotech startups. SIOP program received wide attention and outstanding responses from academic and scientific community.
2. E-YUVA FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
About E-YUVA Scheme
E-YUVA scheme is mandated to promote a culture of applied research and need -oriented {societal or industry entrepreneurial innovation among young students and researchers.
Type of Fellowship:
· E-YUVA fellowship:
For students pursuing undergraduate study in any subject domain.
Innovation Fellowship:
For students Completed Post Graduate and Doctorate study in any subject domain
BIRAC Innovation Fellowship proposals can be submitted in any domain including Healthcare Life science, Diagnostics, Medical Devices, Phytochemicals, Bioactive ingredients, Drug Formulations, and delivery systems, Food, Cosmetic and Industrial Biotechnology, Fishery and aquaculture technology, Biomaterials, Bioinformatics, Agriculture and al Technology, Waste Management, Clean Energy & Environment and Application of Artificial Intelligence/IoT and Machine learning in any of above these areas.
Eligibility:
· In case of undergraduates, the team consists of a maximum 05 no. of students pursuing under graduation in any domain (B.Sc./B.Tech/B.V.Sc./B.F.Sc./MBBS/B.Ag./ any other subject branch).
· In case of undergraduates, each team should apply with a mentor/guide from their institute.
· In case of undergraduates, the team should apply through an E-cell of a College/Institute.
· In case of PhD candidates, the fellow should apply within 2 years of completion of the degree.
· In case of master's candidates, the fellow should apply within 3 years of completion of the degree.
· Female candidates are exempt from the above condition.
Other requirements:
· BIRAC's Innovation fellows are required to work full-time at E-YUVA Centre
· Students pursuing Ph.D. cannot be considered for the fellowship grant.
· Selected fellows cannot pursue PhD. during the fellowship tenure.
· E-YUVA Fellows to spend 3-4 weeks at EYC/EYC Knowledge Partner during their fellowship period.

INR 7,500/- per quarter/student for E-YUVA fellowship
INR 30,00.0 per month/ Postgraduate Fellow for Innovation Fellowship
INR 50,00.0 per month/post-doctoral fellow/ for Innovation Fellowship
Annual research grant
INR 2,50,000 per year for E-YUVA undergraduate team under E-YUVA fellowship
INR 3,00,000 per year for post-graduate fellow under Innovation Fellowship
INR 5,00,00,0 per year for post-doctoral fellow under Innovation fellowship
3. Community Outreach Event (COE)
COE program is a knowledge sharing program on development and use of biotechnological innovation and community outreach through a use case demo. Local community and school students got informative insights on immersive biotechnological innovations, awareness on available tools and technologies, industry expectations & collaborative opportunities, aadon innovation possibilities and extraction of traditional knowledge. The initiative will provide mentoring from founder perspective, knowledge-building through joint scientific efforts, area specific clinical innovation opportunities other value-added support with an aim to make the startup ecosystem accessible to student entrepreneurs from regional areas. E-YUVA Centre partnered with Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC) and NSS to run this program throughout the district.
4. Translational Research and Academic Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (TRAEAP):
The program is designed to incorporate skillsets and knowledge to perform intradisciplinary translational research activities to the benefit of students and faculties. Some components of this program include bio hackathon, hands-on training workshops, Faculty development workshops, industrial interaction and informatic webinars. E-YUVA fellows, students from various subject streams and faculties are the beneficiary.
