In the year 2021, the university initiated the functioning of the E-YUVA Center to nurture biotech innovation and entrepreneurship among staff and students of the GIETU. I am proud that the E-YUVA Center is the only biotech pre-incubation center in Odisha and neighboring states. Unlike other incubation centers it offers hand-holding, mentorship, and guidance to academic students from various subject disciplines. I am happy that the E-YUVA center of GIETU is committed to nurturing future leaders and budding biotech entrepreneurs who will power their organizations and create innovations in products and services in emerging economies."

The E-YUVA Scheme of BIRAC is very unique in its aims and objectives. I am happy that the EYUVA Center of GIET University doing great at their level to fulfill the desire of the scheme implemented for an aspirational district like Ryagada of Odisha. It is expected that Indian bioeconomy will reach the US$ 150 billion mark by 2025 and US$ 270-300 billion by the year 2030. To become a part of this economic opportunities, we have established the E-YUVA Center (EYC) in collaboration with Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India to give importance to academic excellence along with latest technology, research, innovation and development of entrepreneurial attitude. E-YUVA Center, as part of such initiatives to create a conducive space for young minds and probable new age entrepreneurs to help and support the transformation of their innovative ideas into operable business propositions.
